Claude was born in 1952. He was the son of John Bishop and Alice Stringer. He passed away in 2009.

BISHOP, Claude — Passed away suddenly at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, Claude Bishop of Hatchet Cove, aged 56 years. Predeceased by parents, John and Alice Bishop; brothers, Eldon and Malcolm; father-in-law, Simeon Squires. Left with fond and loving memories his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Claudette (Leonard Vey), North West Brook and Juanita (Brian Critch), St. John's; son, Bradley Simmonds, Clarenville; sisters, Effie Hart (Harold Gardner), Ida (Lionel Glover), Muriel Parsons, Clarice (Harold Tucker), Ruby Bishop and Beulah (Elijah Genge); brothers, Cecil (Evelyn), John (Mildred) and Harvey; brother-in-law, Wayne Squires (Lorraine); mother-in-law, Violet Squires and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. A memorial service took place on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from the Anglican Church, Hatchet Cove.
