In 1890 her mother died when she was about five years old [4]. In 1891 she was living with her father at her grandmother's (Hannah Donnison (1830-abt.1892)) house in Hulme, Lancashire, England[1]. In 1901 she was living with her father and sister in her uncle's house at Pendleton, Lancashire, England [2].
