John Tyner Blackburn was born in 1858 in Marion, Mississippi, United States, son of Ferdinand Boon Blackburn (1806–1884) and Sarah Elizabeth Tyner (~1820–>1880).
John married Sarah Catharine Lott (born in 1862 in Mississippi; daughter of Reuben Watts Lott and Bertha Rutha (Rayburn) Lott). Their children were:
John died in 1899 in Mississippi, aged 40.
