Sarah was born about 1729. She was the daughter of William Blackfan and Eleanor Wood.[1][2] On 7 Nov 1751 she married Richard Wood. The marriage was condemned by the Buckingham MM as being disorderly, not approved by the meeting. Sarah produced a paper acknowledging her disorderly marriage, which was approved.[3] She was given a certificate to remove to the Philadelphia Monthly Meeting. Her father, William Blackfan, died in 1771 and she was named in his will as Sarah Wood. She passed away about 1804, her date of death being recorded by the Philadelphia Monthly Meeting, Arch St.[4]
