OBITUARY MR. A. R. BLACKLOW Former Brighton Resident Dies in Sydney.

The death occurred In Sydney on Wednesday of Mr. Albert Richard Blacklow. He was the youngest son of the late Mr. John Blacklow, of Blendon, Brighton, where he was born and lived for many years. He was an uncle of Col. A. C. Blacklow, MLC, of Sorell. He served with the Tasmanian Mounted Troops in the South African War. After the war he served with the British Field Veterinary Corps, and later took up farming in South Africa. For the past 20 years he has resided in New South Wales. Fifty years ago Mr. Blacklow was prominent in racing circles in Tasmania. Among the horses he owned and raced were Jennie Rhinegold, Cypher, Greyfoot, and Melody. He was a capable horseman and frequently rode his horses in hurdle and steeplechase events. Mr. Blacklow leaves a son and a daughter. His wife died many years ago in South Africa.
