Biography

Morlan was born in Scotland, in 1859 in Colmonell, Ayrshire, Scotland, registered as Moreland.^[1]

She married Gilbert Gordon in 1879 and soon after emigrated to New Zealand. Gilbert and Morlan sailed on the Lady Jocelyn into Port Lyttleton in 1879.^[2] In New Zealand they had 9 children:
