Mary was born in 1866.[1] She was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Blanchard who were living in Ashby, Lincolnshire with children Emiley, David and George E. at the 1871 census.[2]
Mary, Emma, David, George Edward, John Charles, Kate and their parents emigrated to Nw Plymouth, New Zealand aboard the Chile in 1875.[3]
She had a daughter, Clara, in 1884.
Mary married Thomas Spicer Lovell, a widower, in 1885.[4] The children of Thomas and Mary Ann were:
After Thomas's death in 1903, Mary married Thomas Loftus in March 1906.[5] This marriage ended in divorce in 1913.[6] There were no children of this marriage.
