Matthias was living in Neuenburg as early as 1667, as he and Margaretha are listed as sponsors at a baptism there. No record of their marriage was found in Gresten nor births of their children. Only one child is known,Hans Thomas born ca 1662. Matthias Blankenbuhler is identified in the Neuenburg records as a weaver and court Official ( Gerichtsverwandt). His first wife Margaretha had died and he remarried to Anna, daughter of Christopher Carlin on Jan 24 1683.
