Biography

John was son of John Blennerhassett and Elizabeth Denny.[1]

He married Margaret Crosbie and had:[1]

  • John
  • Arthur (dead by 1733)
  • Thomas
  • Pierce, a lawyer (dead by 1733)
  • Robert (not mentioned in pedigree)
  • William
  • Agnes.

John succeeded to the family estate on the death of his older brother Arthur.[1]

His will of 24th June 1708 was proved on 9th May 1709[2][3]. In it he mentions:

  • wife Margaret
  • sons:
    • John (not yet 21)
    • Arthur (married Frances Denny)
    • Thomas
    • Piercy
    • Robert
    • William
  • son in law Robert Rogers
  • sister Ruth Blennerhassett

Robert Rogers would have been married to his daughter Agnes.
