John Blunden died young.

Samuel John Blunden - [John/Jack was born on 6 Mar 1871 in Wellington, New South Wales, Australia, son of Samuel Blunden (1835–1881) and Rosanna (Tighe) Blunden (1838–1923).[1]

BLUNDEN. — In fond and affectionate remembrance of Samuel John Blunden, the third dearly beloved son of Rosana and the late Samuel Blunden, who died at his mother's residence, Dripstone, Springs, January 24, aged 15 years.
The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken.
What loving hours we once enjoyed,
How sweet their memory still;
But our Jack's death has left an aching void,
This world can never fill.
