Berlin Bly was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia, son of John and Amanda, married Kathryn Keller in 1939 and lived on a farm at Fairview, west of Woodstock, Virginia. Known to many as "BB Bly", he also owned and operated a service station in Woodstock for many years.
