Lewis Bodman, son of Luther Bodman and Clarissa (Day) Bodman, was born on 4 October 1809 at Williamsburg, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.[1]
He married Sylvia H. Longley, daughter of Col. Joshua Longley and Elizabeth (Hawks) Longley, on 21 December 1837 in Williamsburg, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.[1]
Sylvia died on 23 October 1838 and he married Emily Caroline Nash daughter of Elisha Nash and Experience (Claghorn) Nash, on 24 August 1839 in Williamsburg, Hampshire County, Massachusetts.[1]
Lewis died on 9 April 1886 at Bement, Piatt County, Illinois and was buried at Village Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. His memorial has photos, biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
