DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships.
It is likely that these
autosomal DNA
test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Williamina:
I have recently acquired a miniature portrait with about a 90% likelihood that it is a circa 1779 portrait of PA militia General John Cadwalader.
On the back of it, it even has a woven hair piece of the sitter. Also on the back, it has a gold monogram with the initials G J C, most likely G for General, J for John, and C for Cadwalader.
I don't know that it would be possible to find any decendants who would care to, but I would be more than happy to have the 1779 hair piece DNA-tested to compare with any living decendants.
If anyone think such a thing might be possible, kindly let me know.
