William H. Bonham worked as a Truant Officer, being noted as such in the 1910 US Census. He had also been a blacksmith in the Civil War in Company B of the 7th WV Cavalry. He enlisted on 27 Jul 1861 and was mustered out on 11 Aug 1865. An invalid pension was filed in 1888, application no. 671176; and, a widow's pension was applied for 09 Dec 1912, application no. 997753.
