Ruth Bonum/Bonham, was the daughter of George Bonum. [1][2]
She married on November 28, 1666 at Plymouth, Massachusetts, Robert Barrow, the son of John and Anne (___) Barrow. [1][2]
On February 21, 1679, George Bonum granted to Robert and Ruth Barrows, land in the 'newfield' at Plymouth, a parcel of six acres, and 4 acres of meadow. [3]
Ruth died after February 21, 1679, and prior to 1686, when her husband Robert remarried. [2]
John Barrows, son of Robert and Ruth, grandson of George Bonum, sold the all his rights and interest in those lands to his brother Samuel Barrows on February 26, 1696/7. [3]
Robert Barrow married second before 1686, Lydia Dunham. [2]
Robert Barrow's will was written December 9, 1707, with a codicil added on December 19, 1707. He mentions:
wife Lydia appointed executrix
sons Robert, Thomas, and Elisha
children of my first wife who have already received their portions [4]
On June 20, 1707, George Barrow, Adam Wright and wife Mehitable Wright, testified that they had received their portions of the the estate of their father Robert Barrow from their mother-in-law, widow Lydia Barrow. [4]
On December 22, 1725, the children and grandchild of Robert Barrow and wife Ruth of Plymouth both deceased, being George Barrow for himself and sister Mehitable, Samuel Barrow, Samuel Barrow, son of John Barrow deceased and Ruth Briggs, sold a house, lot and barn at Plymouth to Robert Barrow of Mansfield, Connecticut. Resided at Plymouth and Plympton (now Carver) Massachusetts. [5]
Samuel born about 1672; died December 30, 1755; married first, Mercy Coombs; married second, widow Joanna (Wood) Smith February 24, 1718/9 at Rehoboth. [5] Resided at Plymouth and Middleboro, Massachusetts. [2]
Mehitable born c1675; married first Adam Wright as his second wife. [2] before 1699: married second Deacon John Washburn at his third wife, at Kingston on December 13, 1744. [5]
Ruth born c1677; married John Briggs at Rochester, Massachusetts December 23, 1703. [5]
