Virginia was born in 1866. She was the daughter of William Daniel and Rhoda Ellen Stephens.

Her step father was Charles William Bonynge, who her mother married in 1869.

Virginia married George William Coventry (Lord Deerhurst) in 1894.

This afternoon, at the church of All Saints, Ennismore-gardens, the marriage took place of Viscount Deerhurst and Miss Virginia Bonynge, second daughter of Mr. Charles William Bonynge, formerly of San Francisco and New York and now of 42 Prince's Gate. There was a very large attendance, nearly all the leading American families at present in London being represented....

She died in 1948.

Death of Lady Deerhurst - Viscountess Deerhurst has died at her home. Pirton Court. Worcestershire. The funeral will be at Croome on Friday and a memorial service will be held at Worcester Cathedral on a date to be fixed...The Viscountess was made a Dame of Grace of the Order of St John of Jersusalem...She acted as Mayoress of Worcester during the time that her son the Hon John Bonynge was Mayor in 1929. She was taken ill suddenly and died the same day.
