Cyril Bruce Boote was born on 22 Jul 1925 in Drouin, Victoria, Australia, son of Bruce Clarence John Boote (1881 - 1955) and Mary Ellen (Gouldthorp) Boote (1887 - 1972). ^[1]

Cyril married Elvie Linda Edna Gwen Dance (1928 - 1969) on 26 Sep 1953 in Terang, Victoria^[2]
