Biography

Bessie was born in 1908. She was the daughter of Oscar Boren and Vesta Parkins. When Bessie May Boren was born on September 9, 1908, in Collin, Texas, her father, Oscar, was 30, and her mother, Vesta, was 24. She married Thomas Lee "Tommy" Potts and they had one son, Aubrey Lee Potts, together. She also had two daughters with Wilbur Truett Walker. Judy Ann Walker Daugherty and Martha Jo Walker. She died on May 14, 1982, in Hopkins, Texas, at the age of 73, and was buried there.
