Julius Gustaf Bostrom was born 10 Apr 1879 in Stoby, Kristianstad, Sweden. He was the son of Lars Wilhelm Boström and Ingar Persson[1][2].

In 1880 while still a baby his family immigrated to the United States[2]. The family's first residence was in Stanton, Mongomery County, Iowa. In 1900 the family moved again to Madison, Madison County, Nebraska.
On 27 December 1906 he married Margaret Barnes in Norfolk, Madison County, Nebraska. The couple had two sons, Welling Huyler Bostrom (b. 1908) and Wynn Barnes Bostrom (b. 1916).
In 1917 Julius registered for the US WW I draft, information on his draft card states that he was of medium height and build with light hair and blue eyes and was a Naturalized citizen of the United States. His occupation and residence are listed as a clerk in Richardson, Nebraska.
By 1920 Julius and Margaret moved to Wray, Yuma County, Colorado, and Julius is working as a salesman in a dry goods store and owns his own home.
In 1930 the family is still living in Wray, Colorado, Julius is working as a Monument Contractor and his son Welling is listed as a monument laborer. Julius would stay in this career the rest of his life.

In 1940 Julius and Margaret still live in the same house on Emerson Street in Wray, Colorado. Both of their sons have left home by this time, Wynn is living in Denver, Colorado and studying at the University of Denver and Welling is married and living in Los Angles, California. Julius is still providing the people of Northeastern Colorado with monuments and headstones but now lists himself as a salesman.
Julius' WW II draft card dated 27 April 1942, lists his home address as 520 Emerson Street, Wray, Yuma County, Colorado, is self-employed, height is 5' 7" and 150 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes, and light complexion.
Julius Gustaf Bostrom passed away on 24 July 1966 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona at the age of 87. He was buried next to his wife of 58 years in Grandview Cemetary, Wray, Colorado.
