On 1 May 1775, in Saint-Laurent, Île d'Orléans, Ignace Bouffard widower of Josephte Andrée Pouliot (after her marriage this is the only document that names her Josephte Andrée, all other parish records name her Françoise) married Marie Gendro daughter of sieur Julien Gendro and Marie Anne Chabot. Witnesses included the groom's father in law, Joseph Pouliot, the groom's stepfather, Alexis Couture, the groom's brothers, Jean and Pierre Bouffard and the bride's father, no signatures. [4]
