Biography
Charles was born in 1866 in Lancashire, England. He was the son of Frederick Hancock Boult and German-born Harriet Johanna Behrens. Charles's birth was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1866 in the West Derby district.[1]
In the 1881 census Charles (age 15), Scholar, was the unmarried son of Frederic Hancock Boult on Waverley Road, Toxteth Park, Lancashire, England.[2]

Howis was born in Northamptonshire. In the 1891 census he was being nursed by a family in Wrexham, Denbighshire, which is where Gertrude was born 2 years later.
