DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Joseph by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Joseph:

Hi Benoît, Could you provide your sources to that effect. Thanks

I believe this individual does not have the proper parents linked: there are two couples with the same name who warried in Lauzon 3 years apart:

1. Joseph Bourassa & Marie Louise Carrier (18 Jul 1791) 2. Joseph Bourassa & Marie Louise Carrier (13 Oct 1794)

I believe the correct parents for this individual should be couple #1.
