Mary (Bourne) Dumbell was born in Staffordshire, England.

Mary was born in Bucknall, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, on April 27, 1868. She was Baptized on January 21, 1874 at St Luke's Church, Hanley, Staffordshire, England. Her parents were Hannah, and William Bourne. Mary Ann married George Wilcox on August 4, 1888, in Burslem, Staffordshire, at Saint John Church. The couple would have four children together before George's death. Mary Ann re-married 10th June 1900 at Holy Trinity, Hope, Staffordshire. Her new husband was Henry Dumbell, a hairdresser by trade, originally from Liverpool, Lancashire, England. The couple would have at least two children together. Mary Ann passed away, in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, in 1928.
