George was born in 1731 in Albany, New York Colony. He was the son of Jacob Bauman and Elizabeth (Word) Bowman.
He married Anna Maria Conrad in 1757 Canajoharie, Montgomery, New York.
He died in 1803 in Grantham, Lincoln, Upper Canada.

Service- Joined the Indian Department in June 1777. Served in St. Leger expedition and at Battle of Oriskany. Drew land at Niagara circa 1785. Several petitions resulted in total of 1000 acres granted.
