Immigration: 25 JUN 1841. New York City, NY. Note: on board the ship, Odessa that left from the port of Glasgow. David is listed under Daniel in the index of passenger lists. The error of recording Daniel instead of David is very apparent when the original passenger list is read. The "v" in David is rounded and was taken for an "n" and the "d" has an open loop that looks like an "e and l". [5]

According to the records of the Bergen County NJ Genealogical Society, David Boyle arrived in NY from Scotland on the Bark 'ODESSA', 25 June 1841; shipmaster was Vaughn from Glasgow. ([S933] New York Passenger Lists.)
