Research Notes

Notes on Ancestry.com - no supporting source.

Birth: 21 April 1813 • St Paul's Parish, Colleton County, South Carolina
born on the plantation w brother Lionel Chalmers 1815, records claims "mother" died and father John Boyle 1790–1827 sent boys to stay w/ Thomas Boone as formal guardian. Maybe this was 1827 because father died, mother Sarah Wilson Boyle lived to 1850

Unable to identify plantation but a John Boyle is mentioned in various land leases related to Fair Spring and Mount Pleasant Tract in the 1790's. Possibly his father.[4]
