Biography

Thomas Boyton was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Thomas was born on 01 Nov 1860 in Campbelltown in New South Wales [1].

In 1889 Thomas married Eliza Temple at Wagga[2]. Together they had 4 children between 1890 and 1909.

Thomas died on 20 Jul 1947 in Wagga[3]. His death was reported the following Wednesday[4]:

OBITUARY
MR. T. BOYTON
Thomas Boyton, 84, died suddenly at his home at Oura last night. Mr. Boyton lived for many years in the Wagga district. He is survived by four children, Mrs. F. Corbett, Yanco, Mrs. J. Carson, The Rock, Arthur Oura, and Thomas George, North Wagga.

FUNERAL
MR. THOMAS BOYTON
The funeral of Mr. Thomas Boyton, of Oura Road, Wagga, who died suddenly at his residence on Tuesday night, took place yesterday afternoon. The cortege moved from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wagga, after a service conducted by the Rev. Emlyn James. The casket was carried by Messrs Ron Boyton (nephew), Fred Smith (cousin), Jim, Joe and Tom Temple (brothers-in-law), and Ken White. The floral tray was carried by Messrs Bill and Alec. Temple (brothers-in-law). Interment was in the Wagga Cemetery, where the Rev. Emlyn James again officiated. Relatives present in addition to the abovementloned were Mr. and Mrs. T. G. Boyton (son and daughter-in-law). Mr. Arthur Boyton (son), Mrs. Corbet (daughter), Mr. and Mrs. James Carson (daughter and son-in-law), Mrs. Alec Temple (sister-in-law), Audry and Yvonne Boyton, Arthur and Olive Gallager, Mary and Bill Corbet (grandchildren), Messrs Stan, William and Ron Boyton (nephews), Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Boyton (neices), Messrs Herb, Ray and Bill Boyton (cousins), and many friends from surrounding districts of Wagga. Among the floral tributes was a wreath from the Citizens of Oura.
