Biography

A free Y DNA test is available for a male Bradley surnamed direct male descendant of Mark Bradley's son Joseph Josiah "Joe" Bradley. For more information contact Lisa.

Joseph[1][2] Josiah[3][4] F.[5][6] "Joe"[7][8] Bradley was born Oct[9] 1843 in Tennessee[5] to Mark and Frances Bradley.[1]

He married Frances[5] House on 08 Aug 1864 in Wayne County, Tennessee[2][10] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. William D./T.[4] Bradley was born about 1866 in Tennessee.[5]

Apparently Frances died shortly after the 1870 census as J. F. Bradly married Charity M. Bratcher on 05 Apr 1872 in Wayne County, Tennessee[6][11][4] and the couple had the following known children:

  1. Eva L. Bradley was born about 1872 in Tennessee.[4]
  2. Nancy J. Bradley was born about 1874 in Tennessee.[4]
  3. Leander M. Bradley was born about 1878 in Arkansas.[4]
  4. John Luther[9] Bradley was born 30 May 1880 in Marshall, Searcy County, Arkansas and died 22 Feb 1952 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.[7][4]
  5. Thomas C. Bradley was born 07 Sep 1884 in Arkansas and died 15 Aug 1953 in Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.[8][9]

About 1875/6 Josiah moved his family from Wayne County, Tennessee to Searcy County, Arkansas where he is found living in Spring Township for the 1870 census, but by 1900 he has GTT (Gone To Texas) and he and his family are living in Ellis County, Texas that year.[9]
