Etta (Bradshaw) Higgenbottom was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

Etta Frances Bradshaw was born on August 5, 1932 in Sweetwater, Monroe, Tennessee, United States, daughter of Fred Lee Bradshaw (1909–1963) and Dora Belle Roberts (1913–1997).

Etta married Hayden Wesley Hickenbottom (born on September 17, 1923 in Silver Point, Putnam, Tennessee; son of Charles Wesley Hickenbottom and Prilla (Roberts) Hickenbottom).

In the 1940 census Frances (age 7) was the daughter of Fred C Bradshaw in Civil District 1, Monroe, Tennessee, United States.[1] Fred C Bradshaw 31, wife Dora B Bradshaw 26, son Roy Lee Bradshaw 11, daughter Mattie Bradshaw 10, daughter Frances Bradshaw 7, son Auther Ray Bradshaw 3, son Fred Thomas Bradshaw 2.

Etta died on March 29, 2005 in Flat Rock, Henderson, North Carolina, United States, aged 72. She was buried in Highland Cemetery, Sparta, Tennessee.[2][3]
