When Arthur Branch was born on November 17, 1789, in Duplin County, North Carolina, his father, Archelaus/Archelous/Archalaus/Archales/Archibald, was 24 and his mother, Hepsibeth/Hepsibah/Hepsabeth, was 20. He married Sarah/Sarrah "Sally" Keathley/Keithley on November 4, 1813. They had ten children in 22 years. He died on February 15, 1852, in Wake, North Carolina, at the age of 62, and was buried in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
