Research Notes

Son of Daniel (b Nov 1858 in NY) and Kate (b July 1864 in PA) Bray (1900 census).

It appears that Hazel married Roy Bray, the son of Daniel D Bray, who married her mother. In other words, she married her stepbrother.

Roy Bray, son of D. D. Bray, and Miss Hazel Napier, daughter of Mrs. D. D. Bray [sic], were married by County Judge John Ratterman at his office last Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Magill and Mrs. D. D. Bray witnessed the ceremony. ...

In 1940, his 40yo brother, Rolle H. Bray, lived with them.
