Biography
William Pratt Breed, b. 23 Aug 1816 at Greenbush, New York, was the first child of Johanna (Pratt) & Allen Breed.
He married 14 Sep 1847 @ New Hope, Pennsylvania, Rebecca Sharp Murray. They had 3 children.
William P. Breed graduated from the University of the City of New York in 1843, and from Union Theological Seminary in 1847. He preached in the Second Presbyterian Church in Steubenville, Ohio until 1856 when he became pastor of the West Spruce St. Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. He was elected Pastor Emeritus in 1887.
He died Oct. 14, 1889 in Philadelphia and he is buried beside his wife [Rebecca Sharp (Murray)] who died Apr. 11, 1896 in Lambertville, New Jersey.
