Stanley was born in Maldon and lived in Heybridge, He is remembered on the Roll of Honour in St. Andrewus church, and on the War Memorial in Heybridge. Buried Thiepval Memorial Somme, France. Essex Weekly News Friday 27 July 1917 Rifleman Stanley E. Brewer, London Regiment, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brewer of Boulton Cottages, Heybridge, reported as Missing on Monday 9 October, 1916, is now reported as having died on that date. Another son is serving in Egypt.
