Death takes Mrs Sloan; rites Friday.

Mrs. Esther Brewer Sloan, daughter of Charles C. Brewer, early days Nacogdoches merchant and member of a pioneer East Texas family, died Thursday in a local hospital. She was 7? years old and lived at 1031 South ______. A son, William E. Sloan, Jr., two daughters, Mrs. William _____ and Mrs. Will L. Randlett; five grandchildren and a great grandchild, all of Dallas survive.

Her late husband, William E. Sloan, a representative of Armour & Company, died several years ago. She was a member of the Dallas Women's Forum and was active in the Eastern Star and Pythian Sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Friday at the Weiland- Merrit Funeral Chapel, 2909 Live Oak, with the Rev. Luke Bolin, assistant pastor of the East Dallas Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jack M. D. Reed, Charles E. Ewe__, E. Ransom, J. C. Marden, Jr., Joe Keggerris and James Randlett.
