James Brewer was born about 1817, baptised 26th January 1817[1][2][3] in Worth, Sussex, England, United Kingdom.[4][5]
He married Elizabeth Ristbridger bap Great Torrington, Devonshire, but abode in Reigate, Surrey (see baptism record), in 1839, Reigate, Surrey.[6] Together they had 12 children:
His wife Elizabeth died in 1869, age 46 Reigate, Surrey, England, leaving James to raise 12 children. Along with his some of his other children, his eldest son James 24 and his family living with him in 1871.
He died age 69 in 1886, [31][32][33] burial 30th September 1886, Redhill, Surrey.
