Biography
Henricus (Henry) Brindley was born in 1819 in Macclesfield, Cheshire, the son of Elizabeth and Henry. He served in the 2nd Regiment of Foot in South Africa from 1834-1853. He married Martha Griffith and they had one daughter together (Susan). He then married Catherine McKiff or Catherine Cuniff??. He died in 1868 in Geraldton, Western Australia, at the age of 49.
Converted to Catholicism in 1868, stated his parents were Henry Brindley and Elizabeth Hall
