William Charles Bristow was born in the Colony of South Australia (1836-1900)

William Charles Bristow was born on 7 April 1887 at Adelaide, South Australia. His parents were William Charles Bristow and Henrietta Brook.^[1]

He married Elsie May Moore (18 year old daughter of Walter Moore) aged 23 on 23 June 1910 at St Paul's Church, Adelaide.^[2]

They had at least four children:

• Dorothy Alice May (Bristow) Pfeiffer, 6 January 1911, North Adelaide
• Ronald WIlliam Bristow, 17 May 1917, Prospect
• Olive Sophia Bristow, 19 December 1921, Prospect
• William Brooks Bristow, 11 December 1923, Prospect

Elsie died before him. He died on 1 July 1959 aged 72 years in hospital in Adelaide. His residence was recorded as North Adelaide.^[3]

There appear to have been four William Charles Bristows in the late 19th century in SA.

• Bristow-50 died just before he turned 3 in 1889, son of James Bristow and Alice Skinner

• This one's father, assumed to have married Henrietta Brook then migrated to SA. later married Eliza Ellen Langley in 1922, died 1934
• this one's younger brother lived one day - 13 April 1896
