Biography
Lula (Britton) White is a part of US Black heritage.
Lula Brittin (or Britton) was born about 1876 in Alabama. She married David White about 1895. In 1900 they were living in Hattiesburg, Mississippi with their two young sons, both born in Alabama. Lula had two brothers, Edgar (born about October 1877) and Geo (born about March 1885).[1]
In 1920 the family was living in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.[2] They were still living there in 1930[3] and 1940.[4]
Lula White, said to be 99 old, died on 15 June 1975 in Jackson, Mississippi. She was to be buried in Hattiesburg. She had 4 surviving children: W[illiam], David, Albert and Gladys (De Priest).[5]
