When Mary Muriel Brodie was born on June 24, 1883, in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, her father, Robert, was 29, and her mother, Jane, was 30. She married John Munro Thompson on May 19, 1908, in Westmount, Quebec, Canada. They had six children in 11 years. She died on February 24, 1976, at the age of 92.
