Notes
The Family Search file had John Brooks of Bunbury married to Charlotte Duckers of Bulkley. There were a number of problems with this relationship. Charlotte was born in 1802 and her marriage occurred 1825 when she was 23. John was born in 1808 and would have been 17. The 1825 marriage certificate shows John from Bulkley. He was from Bunbury.Charlotte died in 1835. John Brookes from Bunbury married Sarah Mottran in 1833.
Third wife Hannah appears to be Hannah Allman, 1810-?, married 1858. They did not have children.
Biography
John was born in 1808. He is the son of Thomas Brooks and Lucy Filkin. [1] He was Christened October 2, 1808.
He married Sarah Mottran in 1933. [2] They had seven children, three of whom died as children. Sarah died in 1850.
The 1851 UK census shows John as a 42 year old widower working as a stone quarryin-man living Bunbury with four of his younger children. [3]
