Although baptized at the parish church in West Hackney, Middlesex on April 30, 1837 at same time as her brother Charles Theodosius, Eliza was likely born about 1830 at Mile End to Charles & Augusta Brooks, residing at Hertford Cottages.[1][2]
She married Edward H. Ellen in Hackney, on January 13, 1853.[3]
Eliza died at her residence "The Bungalow" at North Cray, Kent on March 21, 1908 of cerebral congestion, with which she suffered a month and a half, and cerebral haemorrhage and heart failure.[4]
She was buried at St. John the Baptist in Erith, Kent on March 25, 1908. She left her estate, valued at £1565 8s. 6d. to her unmarried daughters.[5][6]
