Nathan was born on the 22nd August 1826 at Sawston, Cambridgeshire, England and baptised on the 22nd October 1826 at Sawston Independent Chapel, Sawston, Cambridgeshire, England, the son of William Brown and Hetty Brown^[1] .

In 1848, Nathan married Emma Cornell^[2].

He passed away in 1867 and was buried on the 9th February 1867 at Holy Trinity, Halstead, Essex, England^[3].
