Biography
Ruth (Brown) Carter is a part of US Black heritage.
Ruth Esther Brown was born on 7 June 1896 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Alice Primrose and Alexander Brown.[1]
She married Fred Chester Carter on 21 May 1919 in Manhattan, New York City.[2]
In the 1920 census, they were living in Manhattan in the household of Amelia Jackson. Fred was working as a railroad waiter.[3]
Ruth Esther (Brown) Carter passed away on 8 February 1927 in Manhattan, New York City, and was buried on 12 February 1927 at Laurel Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland. [1]
