J. Joann Benson, died Sunday, August 21, 1994 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 18, 1933 in Holdenville, Ok. Joann had a zest for life. She was an avid bridge player. In addition, she enjoyed board games, card games, square dancing and camping. She and her husband were members of the Circle 8 Square Dancing Club and Rolling Square Camping Club. She was past president of the Circle 8 Square Dance Club. An avid golfer, she and marvin were members of The Trails Golf Club in Norman. Joann retired in 1990 from Oklahoma City Department of Airports. Joann is survived by her husband, Marvin of the home; daughter Sharon Webb; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Robin Benson; sister, Lorene Ford of California; stepson, Keith Pierce of Agency, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Allison, Marilyn, David, Ryan, Lauren, Nichole, Ben and Mercedes. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wed., August 24, 1994 at the South Colonial Chapel.
