Biography

Richard, son of Richard Brown and Catherine Day was born on 7 Mar 1795 and baptised at St James, Egerton on 26 May 1795.[1]

Richard Brown of Little Chart, and Sarah Day of Egerton, were married by Banns, at St James Egerton on 27 March 1823. Witnesses to their marriage were Horatio Day and Mary Ann Brown. [2]

Richard was counted in the 1851 Census at Little Chart, Kent, England. He is Head of the household, married and a farmer.[3]

In the 1861 Census, Richard was counted at Cock Hill, Detling in Kent where his occupation was recorded as a Agricultural Labourer. [4] In 1871, Richard, aged 76 years was still in Detling and recorded as a pauper.[5]

Richard passed away in March 1880, [6] and was interned at St Martins in Detling on the 12 March 1880. [7]
