Keith MacFarland Brown (1901-1943)

Keith MacFarland Brown was born 22 April 1901 at Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia.

Keith enlisted on 03 June 1940 and served with the Australian Army during World War II. He was taken prisoner by the Japanese when Singapore fell.

He died 09 October 1943, at Thailand, while a POW during WWII. He is buried at Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (1. H. 33.) Thailand.

WAR PRISONER'S DEATH
News has been received that Gunner Keith Macfarland Brown (A.I.F.) died as a prisoner of war in Japanese hands. Aged 43, he was the only son of Mr. James Brown, and brother of Miss Thelma Brown, of Harris Park. Gunner Brown left Australia in July, 1941, and was taken prisoner when Singapore fell.
