Birth and death dates are from his death record.[1]
There is a puzzle with regard to his children. The 1880 census finds him with daughters Senneay E. (Jennie E.) and Emma B. There is no birth record for Seanneay/Jennie but there is a birth record for a daughter named Mary of the correct age.[2] Unfortunately the births of the two daughters are only months apart, suggesting there was a copying error of some kind when the birth record indexes were created.
