Richard O. Bruzek -- Rochester

ROCHESTER -- There will be a memorial service for Richard O. Bruzek at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Macken Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Donald F. Connelly officiating. The body was donated to Mayo Clinic for medical research. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Bruzek, 67, of 1314 Fourth Ave. S.W., Rochester, a longtime cook at the Salvation Army, died Friday (March 31, 2000) at his home.

Born Aug. 2, 1932, in Owatonna, he served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1954 and retired from the Army Reserve. Mr. Bruzek lived in Rochester most of his life. He enjoyed vintage military aircraft and the outdoors.

Survivors include two daughters, two sons, and a brother.

Friends may call an hour before the service Tuesday at Macken Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Mayo Foundation for diabetes or cancer research.
