Zenas was born in 1853 in Plympton, Massachusetts to John and Abigail (Churchill) Bryant, their sixth of seven children.[1]
In 1775 he responded to the Lexington alarm as a drummer.[2][3]
In 1777 he married Mary/Molly Ruggles in Kingston.[4]
They settled in Plympton and had ten children, five sons and five daughters. Zenas was widowed in 1819. He appears on Revolutionary war pension rolls in 1831.[5]
He died in Plympton in 1835, aged 81.[6]
