Andrew Crawford Bryce was born in the parish of Paisley on 5 August 1838 and was the second son of John Bryce and Jean Crawford.[1]
On the 1851 census, Andrew, aged 12 years, is living at 7 Crown Street (Front House) in the Gorbals area of Glasgow with his parents and siblings: John (18 years), Agnes (14 years), William (10 years), Catherine (8 years) and George (6 years).[2]
On the 1901 census, Andrew, a retired wine merchant, is living in lodgings at 291 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow with his brother, George, a retired ship carpenter.[3]
Andrew Crawford Bryce died, aged 68 years, on 7 October 1906 and was buried in Renfrew Parish Churchyard. The death record shows Andrew died at Gowan Brae, Dunoon, however his usual residence was 96 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow.[4]
